Stanford Flying Club offers an Instrument Pilot rating
course. The Instrument Rating (also called the 'IFR Rating") is the next level of training after
achieving your Private Pilot Certificate. Instrument / IFR Pilots
learn to control the aircraft solely by reference to the aircraft's
instruments. With an Instrument Rating you will be able to fly
in more marginal weather conditions. After completing this course,
you will be able to take off in "zero visibility" and fly
through clouds.
For the IFR Training Course, Members will be able to use up-to -date integrated course materials, produced by the Cessna Aircraft Company.
We also offer IFR competency checks and
proficiency reviews for those members who already have an Instrument
Rating.
