Stanford
Flying Club was originally founded to serve the Stanford community,
however membership is open to the public. Our members range from first-time
flyers pursuing their pilot's license to experienced pilots enhancing
their skills.
Stanford
Flying Club is based out of the Palo Alto airport, which is only a
few minutes from the Stanford Campus. Within the San Francisco Bay
Area, members have access to a wide variety of training airports -
from quiet, uncontrolled fields to some of the more sophisticated
facilities in the nation.
As a
member you'll have access to the Club's new Cessna aircraft, Club
approved Instructor-Pilots, airplane 'glass cockpit' simulators and resources. The Club sponsors
aviation training and education, visits to NASA, and FAA Air Traffic Control
facilities.
Members
can reserve aircraft 24/7 using our computerized scheduling
service.
